I had always wanted to visit Ireland, but something always stopped me booking a holiday there. I think it was the presumption that the weather wouldn’t be that great. The thing about weather on holiday is that the older you get, the more you realise that it is not that important. I have been on so many holidays where the weather has let us down, but I have always had a great time. Also, the places that have the good weather always tend to be a bit boring, because they don’t need great things to do there if the sun is always shining!
Last year I had been down to Biarritz and it had rained all week long. This made me decide that next year I would go to Ireland. ~I figured that if I was going to spend a fortune going somewhere only for it to rain, I might as well save the money and go somewhere slightly less hot but a lot more interesting!
I started to search fro tickets and I actually found that Cork flights were much cheaper than going to anywhere on the continent. I immediately booked them and booked myself into a nice looking three star hotel in the centre of the city.
The holiday we had in Cork was amazing. As it happened, the weather was great and we got to see the beautiful Irish countryside in blazing sunshine. On top of
