If you are planning to travel to the Sunshine Coast of Australia for your next holiday you will find there are a number of different areas for you to investigate. Doing some research and learning about all these outlying areas will help you to locate your ideal vacation spot.

The Sunshine Coast has many regions, one of wich is called Maroochy, and it’s made up of areas called Coolum, Mooloolaba, the Alexandra Headland, the Blackall Range and Maroochydore. Beaches are located in Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba, Coolum and Maroochydore, all of which are perfect for surfing and fun in the sun. These areas all have great year round weather so are perfect anytime for tourists to visit and explore all the fun.

Along the most northern part of the Sunshine Coast is Noosa, this is a highly popular destination for the tourists and it has numerous fantastic places to stay. The natural environments here are probably the best on the Coast, balancing the modern with the wild and there are plenty of luxury resorts with a very natural setting. Visitors here number about a quarter of a million annually.

An additional very popular location for tourists is Fraser Island. This is the largest sand island in the world and listed on the World Heritage site. Taking a tour here will give you alot of information about the ecology here, and you are able to see some of the unusual wildlife and historical vegetation that is only seen here and no where else on the planet.
