Sigma Phi Epsilon is a serious fraternity with the motto of “Building Balanced Men.” Not just a social fraternity, they work hard to focus on building leadership skills and strong men. One of the largest college fraternities with 241 chapters does not mean that they are also a party animal. Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in November of 1901 in Richmond VA with the intentions of working to bring more men into the world with balanced minds and bodies. They have four programs that promote self-development and leadership: EDGE, the Carlson Leadership Academy, the Ruck Leadership Institute, and the Quest to Greece.
Alpha Chi Omega is a sisterhood sorority that focuses all its efforts on women being strong and real. They were founded at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1885 by a group of women who were seeking to find women with similar likes and interests. Women joining the Alpha Chi Omega have to consider the requirements of the sisterhood and that the academic requirements are higher than those of the college to be excepted as a part of it. Their motto is “Let’s Be Real” and they focus of fun, education, leadership, and giving back.
