Vacations in the North of England

When people think of going on holiday in England, they instantly start considering some of the places in the South of England. Of course, there is a likelihood that the weather will be a degree or two warmer in the south, but it has to be said that when you consider some of the locations in the North of England, the South is hard pushed to match it in terms of beauty and atmosphere.

One of the best places to stay in the North is Yorkshire. The coastline in this wonderful county is something to behold, and it harks back to simpler days and is all the better for it. Another fantastic location in the North is of course the Lakes. Everyone who has ever visited loves the lakes, and if you head to Windermere, you will struggle to find anything you don’t love! This section of the Lakes epitomises the area, and it is surprisingly relatively easy to find accommodation in windermere. it is a superb location if you want to get out on the water, and there are always lots of rental opportunities for water going vessels of one kind and another. You will find dozens of windermere cottages available on the internet, and provided you book well enough in advance, you should be able to find something to your liking.
