the Peak District, located in Derbyshire, is one of the top destinations in England if you are after beautiful scenery. If you want to be able to say that you have visited some of the most beautiful spots in England then visiting this beautiful area is a must.
If you are expecting grandeur in terms of the scenery then you may have come to the wrong place, but if you are after rolling, undulating countryside which is England through and through then this place is a must. There is a huge amount to see and do in the Peak District including some great walks and some amazing scenery.
The Peak District has many lovely public houses dotted about the small villages and towns, and one of the nicest things you can do in this area is to walk from pub to pub, perhaps taking lunch in the first, and then, if you can manage such a walk, dinner in the next! There is a rabbits maze of walks throughout the Peak District, and with careful planning you can cross paths, change paths and really take yourself wherever you want to go, within reason.
If walking isn’t your thing, then there are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied. You can take in the beautiful Chatsworth House, which will take you all day just to look around the house, but a viewing of the formal gardens would definitely be recommended! Another place of interest is the Roman town of Buxton, famous for its natural springs.
If you think that you might be interested in a holiday in this delightful part of the world, you should search online for peak district holidays to see what you can find.
